SCIENCE BEHIND THE INGREDIENTS
Glycerin moisturise and hydrate the skin. Artemisia Princeps Leaf Powder (Mugwort) is a super ingredient with antioxidant, healing and anti-aging properties that protect, hydrate and nourish our skin, suitable for irritated, sensitive, dry and mature skin. It also has antibacterial properties that works to remove excess oil and kills acne causing bacteria in the pores, which is great for acne-prone skin. Cordyceps Sinensis Extract, from medicinal mushroom, has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties. Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, commonly known as Asian knotweed in Asia, used in traditional medicine for its soothing, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract (skullcap) a traditional Chinese herbal medicine, has skin benefits such as antimicrobial, anti-inflammation, anti-fungal and a potent antioxidant. Ligularia Fishceri Leaf Extract, use in traditional medicine for its anti-mutagenic, anticancer, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. MY THOUGHTS ON PRODUCT PERFORMANCE
I'm from Mugwort Mask is a wash off mask that gently calms and soothes the skin. After cleansing, I apply an even layer of product on my face, leave it for 10 minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water. The texture of the mask is thick, green gel like with small bits of mugwort but easily spread on face and doesn't feel like exfoliate bits on skin like I'm From Rice Mask. It smells herball-y which I find really calming on application. I use the mask a few times a week, sometimes in the morning and evening. The mask feels cooling on skin. It calms my irritated and redness spots on my skin, reduce inflammation of my pimples. I then follow with a toner mist to lock in moisture after using the mask, serum and moisturizer. If you are not the type of using multiple skincare steps, just follow with a moisturizer after using this mask would be just fine for your skin. I have dry, sensitive and acne-prone skin. This mask hasn't broken me out or cause any irritation. It definitely helps calm and soothes the skin. It doesn't contain essential oils so a bonus for those have allergy with essential oils.
