​​​​​​​SCIENCE BEHIND THE INGREDIENTS ​Snail Secretion Filtrate 95%, is a super-powerful ingredient due to its ability to benefits our skin in many possible ways, moisturize, stimulates collagen production, cell regeneration, soothes irritation and great source of copper peptides, vitamin A, E. Great to promote healing wounds, has anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and antioxidant properties. Niacinamide ​helps rejuvenate your skin, enhances skin clarity and luminosity, thanks to its soothing property. It also stimulates collagen synthesis and production of ceramide (components of your skin outer protective barrier), reduces rate of sebum secretion and redness from acne and eczema, improves skin texture and the appearance of hyper pigmented spots.
Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, a fermented yeast that is packed with minerals, vitamins, amino acids, offers anti-aging, antioxidant properties, provides hydration to keep skin plump and healthy look. Research have shown that it also has skin brightening effect and protect skin moisture barrier. ​Allantoin has soothing, wound healing properties, in turn protects the skin. Sodium Hyaluronate hydrates and moisturise the skin. Betaine naturally occurs in the body and often derived from sugar beet, a humectant that attracts moisture to the skin, keeping and maintaining its hydration. Has anti-aging, anti-irritant and moisturising properties which helps smooth-en appearances of wrinkles, reduce sensitivity with calming effect on the skin. ​Panthenol (Vitamin B5) has the ability to regenerates skin tissue which helpful in recovery of acne scars, spots, rashes, eczema and psoriasis. Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Leaf Extract protect against free radical damage from harmful UV rays and environmental stressors due to high antioxidant property, also limiting sebum production. ​Ascorbic Acid is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent, helps diminish scars and dark spots, brightening and even out skin tone and also reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It neutralises free radical damage caused by UV light and prevent the breakdown of collagen.
​MY THOUGHTS ON PRODUCT PERFORMANCE
the Skin House Vita Snail First Essence contains a whooping of 95% snail secretion to nourish the skin for a firming finish, offers gentle exfoliation, improves skin elasticity and keeps skin hydrated. ​After cleansing, dispense essence to palm and apply to face in gentle tapping motion to promote absorption into skin, then follow with treatment and moisturiser of your choice. This essence could be use in morning and/or nighttime routine. When use in the morning, make sure to always follow with sunscreen for skin protection. The texture of the essence is lightweight and watery compared to usual essence, which makes it easier to absorb to the skin. Upon application, I could feel a cooling sensation and there is a hint of citrus scent which I love, non-sticky/slimy feel at all. After application, my skin feels so hydrated, smooth to touch, calm and balance overall. Gentle enough to use daily. If you are not the type of using multiple skincare steps, just this essence to prep the skin then moisturiser and sunscreen would be fine in the morning. I have no skin irritation or reaction while using the essence. It's too soon to tell with the brightening effects, I'll use it for more to truly see the effects on brightening, smoothen texture. I just love that the essence packed with numerous of good ingredients for the skin such as contain centella, panthenol, niacinamide along with snail secretion and vitamin c. I don't see me switching out of this essence anytime soon. *Patch test is recommended for first time user
